Magic 8 BallThere was a moment in my writing classes at UCLA when I realized my instructors had “been there.” That they had suffered from the same writing affliction at an earlier point in their career and had figured how to get past it.

If it turns out I’ve been where you are, I’ll show you the path I took.

Assuming I’m not still there.

trying this out again…it is interesting what you do…
good reminder to practice stream of conscious writing…
I often end up praying…
hope you don’t mind I’m learning a little bit off your site
even though I’m not a writer…trying to sort out what to
do eventually…

I wonder how one ends up being a film editor…seems however one cuts the film controls so much of the emotional pace of it, and how editing affects whether the humor or poignancy of the moment comes through…

is there a term for characters that are expendible, who are created simply to be killed off or disposed? My pastor says a good writer never creates a character to simply discard…he’s working on a murder mystery himself

ok…gonna find a showing of Charlotte’s Web to take the tyke to!

In the end, the moments we spend shouting at the heavens, as they rain down upon us, are those we must hold closest to our hearts.

Hi Issac! Love the look of your blog and your usual great posts.

I have a question I’m putting out there on my blog. Let me know if you have any thoughts on the issue.

I’ve seen a lot about writing specs scripts for TVs shows, what about non-fiction shows that you might find on the History Channel or the Discovery Channel? Does the system work the same way? Do they even use scripts (sure they must) but what kind. I have some ideas on paper, but not sure how to start for non-fiction scripts.

Thanks
